By reviewing ASF on GreatNonprofits, help support Schweitzer Fellows like Steven Lin and Elizabeth Chao, above.

If you’re a regular visitor to Beyond Boulders, you know that the main focus of our posts is our Schweitzer Fellows — the ~200 individuals (primarily university graduate students) we select each year to follow in Dr. Albert Schweitzer’s footsteps.

The Fellows partner with community-based organizations to identify an unmet health need, design a yearlong 200-hour service project with a demonstrable impact on that need, and bring that project from idea to implementation and impact.

And now, you have a chance to help make that impact even greater.

ASF is participating in the GreatNonprofits Health Campaign, an initiative aimed at identifying and promoting leading health nonprofits. GreatNonprofits is basically a Yelp or TripAdvisor for nonprofits — a place for individuals whose lives have been touched by nonprofit organizations to share their “reviews.”

If ten or more individuals post reviews of ASF by June 30, we’ll be eligible for a $5,000 giveaway from GuideStar, one of GreatNonprofits’ partners. We’ll also be in the running to be identified as one of the top-rated health nonprofits in the country.

So if your experience with ASF has been a formative one (or even if it hasn’t — we want your honesty so that we can continue to grow and improve!), click here to view our GreatNonprofits profile, and click here to post your review.

We’ll be posting reminders periodically between now and June 30. Thanks in advance for helping us further our mission of addressing health disparities by developing Leaders in Service!
